"Other things may change us, but we start and end with family"

13 March 2010

A green horse? Bag pipes! and friends! It can only mean one thing ... the annual St. Patrick's Day parade! Sorry to Shannon who thought she was going to watch ... little did she know she was 'marching' the parade! :)

Let me begin this story with some facts. First, this is me with only 1 hour of sleep since 1Pm yesterday. Yes, after working all night I 'greened up' the family and off we went.

Maddie and Christina think we're insane ... and I had to beg Christina for this smile ... what's that about?

Heather was prepared with warm clothes and her 'Irish' umbrella ... Shannon provided the Irish cheer! It was great .... even if it was 'WET'!!

Love you guys!

I won the LOTTERY??

Last December I was sent the following message:

Jodi Clark ACCEPTED IN LOTTERY!

Translation: Jodi has spent $$ to run 13.1 miles [again?!?]
Really? I pay for this? Insanity I tell you!

So in 1 week I will be heading south to Moab ... again. I have not trained and think I am insane ... but worst case I walk most of it and claim my t-shirt to add to my growing collection.
Wish me luck!

Too Fun Tuesday!

Do you know what today is? YUP it’s Tuesday! Our officially declared family fun night! So with it being the eve before St. Patties Day and the parade coming up this Saturday we decorated hats and shirts for the grand event!

It’s fun and challenging to try and come up with activities that a 3 year old can do and a 7 year old will enjoy. So far I’ve done ok. Hope I can keep up with the task!

By the way …

whoever invented the foam shapes stickers is my HERO!

We are ready to March, March, March … down Gateway plaza! Hope to see you there!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

A Great Day

Have you ever had a great day that was not great because of one single event, but was great because of many little great moments? A day that starts with a smooth morning, in which the kids wake up happy, and get dressed without argument and help pack their own backpacks? A day where the car dealership is not only expecting you but whisks you in and out in record time … as you watch them promptly start work on your car and they actually finish at the time they said they would? A day of doggy shopping and almond buying with someone you unexpectedly connect with without ever realizing you are? An evening of swimming and smiles, water slides and splashing with two incredible children? And a night that ends with, “I love you mommy! You’re the best mommy EVER!”?

I have … it was my day today. It was a great day full of perfect timing. A day in which I was exactly where I was supposed to be at exactly the right moment! If only everyday could be this wonderful!

Happy Monday!
